KeyNotes Piano Camps provide a fun and creative way for students to explore music beyond weekly lessons. Each camp is built around a strong musical theme and combines playing, listening, movement, creativity, and group collaboration — all in a format that’s flexible for every studio.

Themes for Ages 4-8

Around the World in Song

Young musicians travel the globe through music - exploring different cultures and sounds while developing early musicianship, listening skills, and creative expression.

Circus

A playful and imaginative theme filled with strong characters and dramatic musical ideas. Students explore dynamic contrast, tempo changes, and storytelling through sound.

Escape Room: Musical Mystery

Students work together to “escape” through four musical rooms — developing problem-solving, theory knowledge, and performance skills along the way.
Rooms include:
  • The Time Room (rhythm & meter)
  • The Chord Room (harmony)
  • The Interval Room (melodic structure)
  • The Motif Room (creative development)

Music for Video Games

Students discover what makes game music immersive — learning pattern-based pieces, composing themes, and exploring genre-specific sound worlds (fantasy, puzzle, racing/platformer, sandbox).

Camps can be delivered as:

  • a one-day event (e.g. 1–3 hours)
  • a half-day experience across several days
  • a full-week program (up to 4–5 hours per day)
Everything is included — teachers can scale timings and activities to suit their schedule and studio needs.

What’s Included in Every Theme

Each theme is divided into four sections, and each section includes:

  • A piece to learn by pattern, ear, or notation
  • A creative task (improvisation or composition)
  • A listening activity linked to the theme
  • Arts & crafts for visual and tactile creativity
  • Music theory games that feel like play
  • Ice-breakers and group activities to build connection

There are also optional ideas for:

  • Extended day sessions
  • Themed movies, books, and food
  • Studio displays or end-of-camp performances
